The clients came in with a crystal-clear vision of the style they wanted, inspired by a little jaunt to a majestic Bali resort. So, if you’re one of those who can’t resist a sprinkle of Indonesian island flair, this project is right up your alley. We were brought on board to help them transport a slice of Bali back to their little Isle. An old house was transformed into a resort-style retreat, perfectly positioned to take advantage of the southern exposure and offer stunning views of the main river and poolside lounge. By the end of it, they were living full-time in their personal paradise — or perhaps they decided to cash in and live the dream elsewhere.

Guiding this couple in creating the volumes and spaces they envisioned was genuinely enjoyable for our team. Although we might not be Bali enthusiasts ourselves — opting instead for the serene, refined elegance of a Japanese outdoor onsen — the final renovation turned out to be a truly majestic finale. Who knew a bit of island flair could be so captivating?
